On the morning of April 22, China and South Korea jointly held a handover ceremony at Incheon International Airport in South Korea. South Korea handed over the remains of the 13th batch of 12 Chinese People's Volunteer Army martyrs and 146 relics to China. Vice Minister of Veterans Affairs Xu Yao led the Chinese handover delegation, while Deputy Minister of National Defense Lee Doohee led the South Korean delegation to return the remains of Chinese soldiers to attend the ceremony. Representatives from China and South Korea signed the handover agreement on site, and the Chinese side held a mourning ceremony. The national anthem of the People's Republic of China was sung on site. Chinese Ambassador to South Korea Dai Bing covered the national flag with the coffin of the martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers. All Chinese personnel bowed three times to the remains of the martyrs of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The ceremonial soldiers of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Honor Guard Brigade carried the national flag and escorted the coffin of the martyrs onto the PLA Air Force Y-2B transport plane.
